Forget Your Dreams!

Hello there,
I was out enjoying a beautiful day, getting some exercise and taking in nature.
It really got me to thinking!
Thinking about how we often chase “our” dreams that are influenced by sometimes unrealistic ideals and aspirations planted in our minds by marketing, parenting and who knows form where in the external world?
I realised that focusing on having a purpose with what you’re doing at the time - can lead to a better quality of life and mental well-being. Not to mention, better results with your task that are right in front of you! (like a single bike track of rocks on a cliff-ooh)
For instance, here is another example only minutes old: while I was biking and felt a bit hungry, I thought about grabbing a quick snack at a warm and inviting cafe: But then I reminded myself that my purpose for eating is:
(A) refuelling, and
(B) to feel great and stay strong.
Not slip into a sugar high reward that I felt obliged to do for my literal “unconscious self” (I hope you are finding this entertaining and funny also?)
So I decided to wait until I got home for a healthier meal. It was not that difficult compared to the trail I had just ridden.
Can you appreciate the day to day realities are all about balancing and editing dreams with a meaningful purpose? Serving number One (YOU).
You just have to stay in the moment, and as most of my video’s elude to - it's much easier when you have regular contact with nature.
So, get out there, have some fun, and let me know what you’re thinking about!

In Great Health and trying to stay that way!!
Patterson
