In my life I have seen only monetary motivation for the advancement of medical systems come to be - not the most medically efficient and cost efficient systems that help humanity. The evidence now is clear, food, activity, sleep, stress, relationships, addiction prevention are the new weapons of mass chronic disease destruction. These pillars are the focus of Lifestyle Medicine and the work of my life.

Over the last three years our online groups four times per year have learned about whole foods, water fasting, intermittent fasting, time respected feeding and whole foods fasting mimicking diets. They have become veterans of taking care of themselves, loosing weight without dieting, increasing stamina without training and lifting moods without alcohol or drugs. How:? Tip #1 - Do this and Stop 80% of all chronic disease

The European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) study is one of the largest cohort studies in the world, with more than half a million (521 000) participants recruited across 10 European countries and followed for almost 15 years.

Lifestyle factors influencing heart disease, cancer and other chronic degenerative disease were screened and people who had these major lifestyle modifications had massive results

Tip #2 - The medicines that have no monetary agenda... and add 14 years to your life!

The combined impact of four behaviours from the EPIC Study:

  1. Not smoking,

  2. Being physically active,

  3. Moderate alcohol intake and the

  4. Consumption of at least five fruit and vegetable servings a day

This was estimated to amount to 14 additional years of life (Khaw et al. 2008)
